Week 1

1-1

I was fascinated by their knowledge and how many perspectives and solutions they have when looking at the decarbonization goal. The pictures on the top mainly talked about why electricity can be an affordable and possible resource for decarbonization. And they also introduced from many viewpoints, for example: how much ground is needed for clear electricity generation and transmission, the cost of generating power by solar PV, wind, onshore, and wind farms ten years ago and now, etc.

After reading this, I have some questions which are:

  1. What can we do as a designer and a citizen to support decarbonization or the tips we can do in our daily life? (especially in electricity, like unplugging all of your electric appliances. )

    +
I know carbon emission from red meat production is ten times more than plant-based food. And the highest ranking is red meat, followed by dairy products, poultry, then fish.

  2. Just came from the first question, is there any design that can create the same effect of unplugging the electric application?
